Is Corporal Punishment Ok?
Many Parents throughout the world use corporal punishment to discipline their children. This is a great idea as long as: 1.)There are no physical injuries (injuries are a sign of abuse), 2.)There is no discrimination (all children in the household should be treated fairly), and 3.)The child is guilty of the crime the parent is accusing him or her of. A parent has the right to discipline their child as they see fit. Nobody wants to get beat, so that will deter them from misbehaving.

Is Corporal Punishment the bond of love or emotional violence?
This depends on the eye of the beholder.
Should Micheal Pearl be the blame for 3 deaths?
A Tennessee preacher and corporal punishment advocate is coming under intense criticism after copies of his self-published book, To Train Up a Child, were found in three homes where children died from alleged abuse. In his book, pastor Michael Pearl advises parents to use a switch on children as young as 6 months old to discourage bad behavior, saying he models his methods on "principles the Amish use to train their stubborn mules." Pearl says it's unfair to blame the extreme actions of a few unstable parents on a book that has sold more than 670,000 copies, especially since he explicitly tells parents not to spank in anger or hit hard enough to leave a bruise.

Corporal Punishment Is Widespread
Whether you like it or not, corporal punishment teaches children discipline. All over the world, governments support corporal punishment. It's widely acceptable in Europe, the West Indies, India, ect. The US almost completely banned it in 2003. However, there are eight studies that show since corporal punishment was banned in public schools, there has been a rapid increase in school violence.

Why I agree with Corporal Punishment
Because it is supported heavily in the Bible. For example: Proverbs 22:14 states: "Tho shall beat him with the rod and shalt his soul from hell." Proverbs 22:15 states: " Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him." and Proverbs 23:13-14 states: " Spare the rod spoil the child."
