Because it is supported heavily in the Bible. For example: Proverbs 22:14 states: "Tho shall beat him with the rod and shalt his soul from hell." Proverbs 22:15 states: " Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him." and Proverbs 23:13-14 states: " Spare the rod spoil the child."

ReplyDeleteI believe in corporal punishment, The Bible says, "spare the rod, spoil the child." I do not necessarily know who has this authority. In Jeremiah 17:9, the Bible says, "the heart is deceitful." This is what concerns me, does the judge, the attorneys, and the accusers have that right heart. I think that natural elements affect their decisions and without God they simply do not have that authority.
ReplyDelete@ Danielle I completly agree. God is the only one that have authority. But God has given us authority over our children. God trust us to do whats right, but you know sometimes parents do not do the right thing. Thats when God will take things in his hand and punish those who do wrong.
